Martin's new CD, "True Stories" got it's first taste of the airwaves this week ,when Mike Harding played "Home Again" from the CD on his BBC Radio 2 show this Wednesday 24 June. Mike loves the CD, which we're delighted about and we're hoping to set up an interview with him for Radio 2, before the Cambridge Folk Festival next month. We've also had really positive feedback from Mark Radcliffe from BBC Radio 2 and hope that he may play a track from the CD on his evening show with Stuart Maconie, one night soon. Martin's new, eagerly awaited CD, "True Stories" is to be officially launched at this year's Cambridge Folk Festival next month. Martin will be at the festival the whole weekend in various guises - taking part in the MOJO Interview, performing twice as a solo artist and most excitingly, he will appear on the Main Stage on Saturday with very special guests, Andy Cutting (melodeon), Jon Boden (fiddle), BJ Cole (pedal steel), Andy Seward (bass), Keith Angel (drums) and Kellie While (vocals)! This is (so far!) a special, one-off performance of the Big Band, featuring many of the artists who appear on True Stories and largely drawing on material from the new CD. And it is going to be brilliant!!
"True Stories" will be on sale on this website, from Martin on his live dates and from all good music outlets, from August 3rd. Buy it in shops and put it in the charts!!

Martin has confirmed that the September dates for his hugely popular weekend workshop, held in Sheffield twice a year, will be the 25 - 27th September. The workshops are held at the Beauchief Hotel, close to the edge of the City and the beautiful countryside of the Peak District National Park. The workshops are for anyone who wants to immerse themselves in all things 'guitar' for the weekend, you don't need to be of any standard to come and get a huge amount from them. Everyone from beginners to the more experienced have been coming to Martin's workshops for years - many more than once! - and the feedback has always been hugely positive, some say life-changing even!
