This weekend, as part of the Sage Gateshead's Summertyne Americana Festival, Martin will be opening for Roseanne Cash, who is currently touring her latest CD, The List:
“This is your education” said Rosanne’s father Johnny when he handed her a list of 100 Essential Country Songs.‘The List’ was inspired by this incident, and now she’s touring the album live with her full band. Martin is delighted to be sharing the bill with Roseanne, "Roseanne's latest record, The List, is a beautiful collection of songs, beautifully sung and presented and I am honoured to be opening the show for such an iconic artist. I've been asked to present some of my favourite traditional and contemporary songs and I'm really looking forward to it".
The evening will start at 7.30pm at The Sage Gateshead, this Saturday 24 July.
