We're delighted to announce that Martin's latest CD, "True Stories' has been nominated for Album of the Year in UK roots music magazine, fRoots' Critics Poll of 2009.
The winners will be announced in BBC Radio 3's World On 3 on Friday 4th December at 11.15pm. The January/February issue of fRoots will carry its traditional big feature on the Poll results, and there should be lots more media coverage around the news.
Every year since 1986 (when the first winner was Paul Simon's Graceland) fRoots has polled experts in the UK and abroad to decide the Album Of The Year in folk, roots & world music. With over 300 writers, broadcasters and activists now on the panel, it has become established internationally as the most extensively researched and prestigious annual poll of its kind.
Thanks to all the critics who voted for "True Stories"!
